Many projects conducted by C-K are driven by National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) requirements. Such projects include federally-funded coastal wetlands projects under the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act, Section 404 or Coastal Use permits, NPDES permits, NRDA, and FERC certification. In accordance with the Council on Environmental Quality guidelines for implementing NEPA, C-K can provide any level of NEPA compliance for the preparation of Environmental Assessments (EAs), and can provide specific biological and ecological assistance for the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
In addition, C-K routinely performs Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards for undeveloped and developed properties.
