Job Title:Environmental Specialist - Shreveport
Description:
Our Shreveport location is searching for an entry level candidate to provided general Water, Waste, and Air Quality compliance services to our public, private, and industrial clients. Field work includes: client site visits to inventory equipment and assess current facility status or to collect data for projects. Office work includes: data analysis, calculations, application and interpretation of regulatory requirements, and report preparation. Some out of town travel is required.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biological Sciences,
- Computer literacy with MS Office programs,
- The ability to communicate facts both verbally and in written form to staff and clients with various backgrounds is required,
- Maintain a professional working relationship with clients and co-workers is essential, and
- Must be eager to excel as an individual and in a team environment.
Job Title: Air Quality Scientist/Engineer
Description:
Our Air Quality team has an opportunity for an experienced air quality scientist or engineer in our Lake Charles office. The primary responsibilities will include delivering air permitting and compliance solutions to our leading industrial clients, mentoring staff, and developing new projects.
Qualifications:
- MS or BS in a related science or an engineering degree, with a minimum of ten years environmental experience.
- Expertise in air permitting and compliance, including NSR, NNSR, PSD, and NSPS.
- The ability to excel in a team environment.
- The ability to communicate facts both verbally and in written form to staff and clients with varying backgrounds.
- Able to identify and develop new project opportunities is essential, as is a proven history of strong client relationships, project management skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Active participation in professional organizations is expected.
- Some travel is required.
Job Title: Ecological Specialist -Shreveport
Description:
Our Shreveport location is searching for an entry level candidate to conduct field studies and analyze data for: wetland delineations, ecological inventories, and other ecological studies. Employ the following tools and technology: GPS units to locate project site and features; collect, store, and retrieve spatial and ecological data; and light trucks, trailers, all-terrain vehicle, and boats. Author written document such as: US Army Corps of Engineer 404(d) permits and LDNR Coastal Use permits. Maintain current knowledge of emerging and changing regulations that impact our client base. Develop GIS mapping skills. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with project members. Maintain excellent client relations. Assist other teams within C-K where needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor-level degree in biology or related field.
- Delineate wetlands in accordance with 1987 USACE methodology.
- Read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Author technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Orally present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Comprehend mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Contribute in team-based environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Job Title: Laboratory Technician - Baton Rouge
Description:
Our Aquatic Toxicology Laboratory has part-time (15hrs a week) entry-level positions available. Position responsibilities are to conduct acute and chronic toxicity tests in accordance with EPA protocols; Support Taxonomic services through sorting and sample preparation duties; Adhere to NELAC regulations; Assist in aquaculture facility, performing marine and freshwater system maintenance; and Provide general support to aquaculture group as needed. On the job training will be provided. Weekly work schedules are flexible to school commitments. Salary DOE. This position is a great opportunity for students to gain job experience in the environmental field.
Qualifications:
- Science Majors with lab experience preferred, or college coursework in basic sciences (Toxicology, Biology, Zoology, Fisheries and related fields).
- Computer literacy with MS Office programs.

- Maintain a professional working relationship with clients and co-workers.
- Available to work a rotating weekend & holiday schedule.
